Hey there! I know I’m a little late to talk about the Xiaomi Mi Mix but hey, why the heck not right? It’s an amazing phone and has been quite popular even among the top tech reviewers. At first look, it is a beautiful phone, having an almost bezel-less display with the screen-to-body ratio of 91.3%. By saying an almost bezel-less display, I mean that it does have bezels but they are only about 2mm thin on both sides and the top. The bottom bezel is a little thicker because it consists of the front-facing camera, notification LED and the display drivers.

Now let us talk about its built-in quality and the display. Xiaomi Mi Mix has a 6.4-inch 1080p IPS display. It has ceramic built around the side and the back, even the buttons are made of ceramic! The hardness of this ceramic is rather close to that of sapphire so it is almost resistant to scratches. Because of its glossy finish, it can be quite slippery so be sure not to drop it. I would recommend fitting on an exterior casing.

Now I know you must be thinking, hey where’s the earpiece? Is it at the bottom bezel? Well, the answer is no because there is no earpiece on the Xiaomi Mi Mix. Instead, it uses what is called a piezoelectric speaker which vibrates the metal frame of the phone to generate sound. The proximity sensor is replaced by an ultrasound sensor used for the same purpose.
