At Barcelona MWC 2017 after all the leaks and rumors LG finally announced its latest flagship phone the LG G6. By offering a big screen in a smaller body along with waterproofing let us see what this new flagship is all about.
After the failure of the modular body design of LG G5 this year LG went with the basic design for the G6. It is covered in a mix of glass and metal with two sheets of gorilla glassing 3 and 5 on the front and back respectively and metal on the sides by giving it the premium look and feel. The rear glass panel is slightly curved and also covered with a plastic coating for a better grip.
Let us now get on with the display of the LG G6. The G6 consist of a 5.7-inch QHD display (1440X2880) with the screen ratio of 18:9 an innovation by LG having its pros and cons. It consists of an 80% screen to body ratio by having thin bezels on the sides and making it very comfortable to hold in one’s hands.
Other specs include a dual 13mp rear camera with dual led flash and a 5mp front camera, it consist of the fingerprint scanner on the back which also operates as a physical power button and volume buttons on the side giving it that slim look powered up by 3,300mah battery and it also consists of fast charging 3.0. It has 4 GB of ram, snapdragon 821 chip as of last year flagship phones with an expandable storage of 32GB, it is IPS68 certified meaning it is dust and waterproof and it is going to be one of the very first third-party phone having Google assistant built in and will be running on android 7.0 out of the box.
